Many years ago, nine to be precise, we acquired our first boat: Uno Mas, an Islander 30 built in 1976. Uno Mas is a “daysailer” with a fin keel. A quick and nifty little boat that allowed us to get comfortable sailing the coastal and inland waters of Washington State for almost five years. We found her in Ballard in Seattle at the commercial fishing port.

After ten months exploring the shores of Baja California and three months in La Paz, we leave for the mainland of Mexico. Our first landfall is Bahia Matanchen with the cute little town of San Blas.

Change is in the air aboard Rua Hatu this month! Lots of change! Not just onboard either, the world seems to be changing at an increasingly erratic pace (hang in there Ukraine πΊπ¦). Though our boat has been relatively stationary in La Paz for far longer than we anticipated, that certainly hasn’t kept the crew and our friends and family from roaming about the universe.
