After having picked up our guests Forrest and Lyssa in Puerto Vallarta and provisioning for the four of us at the conveniently closely located big supermarkets, we set sail toward Boca de Tomatlan, hoping we would be lucky with good enough conditions to anchor for a night or two.

If you were to ask me what I would be doing to celebrate my thirty third rotation around the sun a month or two ago, I would have replied with a vague “Oh, probably riding my bike with friends in the woods and enjoying the usual libations….” What actually transpired was beyond my imagination.

Change is in the air aboard Rua Hatu this month! Lots of change! Not just onboard either, the world seems to be changing at an increasingly erratic pace (hang in there Ukraine 🇺🇦). Though our boat has been relatively stationary in La Paz for far longer than we anticipated, that certainly hasn’t kept the crew and our friends and family from roaming about the universe.
